San Francisco, April 9th 2021: Shyft Moving, the #1 moving marketplace, is excited to announce a new philanthropic partnership Move For Hunger, a hunger relief non-profit.
“This partnership is personal for us at Shyft. No one should experience hunger, especially not in a country where tons of edible food is wasted each year. Together with Move for Hunger, we work with our customers and supply chain to ensure that food that would have otherwise been wasted reaches the right communities,” said Keo Sar, VP of Revenue Operations. “The bigger impact lies in our ability to influence both our suppliers and customers to engage more with the community through this and other initiatives.”
By partnering with Move For Hunger, Shyft can make a meaningful difference to the lives of others – providing the opportunity to fight hunger and reduce food waste, while engaging employees, clients, and communities in this important cause.
As a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, more than 50 million Americans struggle to find their next meal, and globally as many as 820 million people are at risk of hunger.
Shyft recognizes the urgency of the problem and is committed to helping Move For Hunger provide meals for those struggling to put food on the table. Stay tuned for more updates on this collaboration.
Move For Hunger is the first and only non-profit mobilizing relocation professionals to simultaneously fight hunger and reduce food waste by collecting unopened, non-perishable food from people who are moving and delivering it to local food banks.
