Washington DC hosts a lot of diversity not only in terms of nationalities and race but sexualities as well. So much so for the latter that in 2014 it was named the “Gayest City in America” by The Advocate.
Washington DC is not a small town so you can pay quite a bit for housing since it is 148 percent over the national average, and groceries are 10 percent higher, however, utilities are 3 percent lower than the average.
